This white paper will give an overview of the inline inspection system that was developed through a collaboration between Lake Image Systems and ScanTrust. Branded as the SILVIA, this system allows 100% inspection and authentication of ScanTrust secure codes, directly on the printing line, at full press speeds. ScanTrust’s authentication technology involves printing a secure QR Code that contains a copy-sensitive secure graphic. For many security printing applications such as; Tax Stamps, Authentication labels and secure packaging, it is a requirement that all ScanTrust QR codes, including the embedded secure graphic, must be verified and authenticated before the printed item leaves the printer.
