About the role:
Lake Image develops components, modules and complete solutions for automated, inline, vision-based inspection systems, which include specialised imaging technology, scanners, hardware, software and services. As the Electro-Mechanical Assembler joining the Production and Service department, you’ll be a key member of the team assembling various electronic and mechanical industrial machine vision systems, including our flagship R-Series.
Working from your own bench within a small team of 3 you can expect to:
- Produce components and assemblies, involving bonding and fixing techniques and soldering
- Follow drawings and written instructions
- Load and configuring PC applications onto devices
- Conduct testing, participating in continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor stock levels and assist in other areas of the business such as despatch and service
About You:
We’re looking for a flexible IT literate Electro-Mechanical Assembler. You’ll have experience within a similar small mechanical assembly role, with a HNC, BTEC or similar. Suitable candidates will be detailed orientated with a high standard of delivery. The candidate will need to be happy completing some repetitive tasks as well as undertaking additional duties outside of the assembly. Due to the nature of the role and task the successful candidate will need to be comfortable standing for long periods of time at a workstation and participating in manual handling activities. The working hours are 9 – 5.30 Monday to Friday.
